Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Zero Budget ("Service", "we", "us"), operated by Zero Budget LLC d/b/a Zero-Budget.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Zero Budget is a zero-based budgeting application that allows you to track your income, expenses, and budgets. The Service is provided on a subscription basis. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Account Registration and Security

You must provide a valid email address and maintain the security of your password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@zero-budget.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Subscription and Payment

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly basis. All payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), who acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. By subscribing, you also agree to Paddle's terms of service.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

5. Refund Policy

You may request a full refund within 30 days of your subscription payment date. To request a refund, contact us at support@zero-budget.app with your account email and we will process your refund promptly.

6. Your Financial Data

All financial data you enter into Zero Budget (transactions, budgets, account balances) is yours. We do not sell your financial data to third parties. You may export or delete your data at any time.

Zero Budget does not connect to or access your actual bank accounts. All data is manually entered by you.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
• Use automated means to access the Service without our permission
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. ZERO BUDGET IS A BUDGETING TOOL AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE FINANCIAL ADVICE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time from the Settings page. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will retain your data for 30 days after termination before permanent deletion.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
